Saferoad is proud to be contributing to the Tritton Road Bridge project in Lincoln – a newly constructed bridge that will carry road traffic over existing railway lines, helping improve local transport flow and connectivity in the area.
Working in collaboration with Graham Construction, a leading name in UK infrastructure and civil engineering, our role on this project has focused on the installation of the SNH4a parapet – a high-performance modular solution engineered for high-containment applications.
The SNH4a has been designed and tested to EN 1317 standards, achieving H4a containment, W3 working width, and Impact Severity Level B. This makes it a robust and reliable choice for high-risk areas such as bridges, where maximum roadside safety is essential.

The system is constructed using:
  • Steel posts, rails, deformation brackets, and joints
  • M16 galvanised fixings for structural integrity
  • M27 stainless-steel holding-down bolts into cast-in or resin-bonded anchors

It also features a plinth with a minimum width of 590mm, with a traffic face upstand between 50mm and 100mm, ensuring both strength and compliance.

Installation was carried out by two of our experienced parapet installers, with additional support from DLK Parapet, a trusted subcontractor we’ve worked with for many years. Thanks to the SNH4a’s efficient design and the professionalism of the team on site, installation progressed smoothly and on schedule.
As the project nears its final stages, with only a few final checks to be completed in the coming weeks, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Graham Construction for another successful collaboration. It’s always a pleasure working with partners who value quality, safety, and teamwork as much as we do.
